NukoCompress ("the app") is an image compression app for Android, developed by Nuko ("we", "our"). This page explains what data the app does — and does not — collect.
NukoCompress does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All image compression happens entirely on your device — your photos and files are never uploaded to any server. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs.
NukoCompress reads and writes files only when you explicitly ask it to, through Android's built-in image and folder pickers (the Storage Access Framework). Selected images are compressed entirely on your device and written to the destination you choose (your gallery or the original folder). The app does not scan, index, or access any files you have not directly chosen through those pickers, and it never uploads any image or file anywhere.
NukoCompress requests the following permissions, for the purposes below:
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: used only to show compression progress (e.g. how many images are done) as a notification. Notifications are generated entirely on-device and never sent anywhere.FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PROCESSING: used so compression can keep running when you switch away from the app. This permission is unrelated to sending any file anywhere.INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE / com.android.vending.BILLING: the app includes Google's Play Billing Library, and these permissions are used only by that library to communicate with Google Play for an optional future in-app purchase (a Pro upgrade). They are never used to send your images or files anywhere. The purchase flow itself is handled entirely by Google Play, and payment details never reach us.We do not collect:
Standard Android system logs generated during a crash stay on your device and are only visible to you (or to us if you voluntarily choose to send them to us, e.g. by email, when reporting a bug).
The only third-party service NukoCompress integrates is Google's Play Billing Library, used for in-app purchases. It does not include any analytics platform, ad network, or cloud storage service. For how Google Play handles information during a purchase, see Google's Privacy Policy.
Because the app collects no data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (or the relevant age in your country).
If this policy ever changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
